Best Buy To Be First Full-HD 3DTV Retailer?

Best Buy has announced a media event at its New York City store at Union Square, where it will sell its first full HD 3D TV package. It is believed to be the first big-box retailer to do so, according to home theater blog Big Picture Sound.

The bundle will include one of Panasonic’s first retail-ready 3D TV with the highest high-def resolution possible. It is likely to also include a 3D-capable Blu-ray Disc player and a surround sound system.

Panasonic approached Best Buy for the event, which will take place March 10. Executives from the TV maker and the electronics retail chain will be on-hand as will press from around the country.
