First Look: Sony 3D TV
Sony is betting on 3D in the next round of TV wars, but I reckon it will appeal more to gamers than sports fans.
Sony unveiled its first 3D TVs this week, along with its IPTV plans. To be honest I’m more excited about the prospect of decent IPTV than I am about 3D TV, the latter of which I think will be an expensive novelty for a while yet.
From what I saw at the Sony launch in Sydney, I think Sony’s 3D technology is better suited to PlayStation 3 games rather than sporting events.
