Will Latest 3D Movie Be A Box Office Titan?
The special-effects blockbuster had its world premiere in London, which was transformed with concrete pillars, fire and guards to bring a touch of Ancient Greece to a rainy Leicester Square.
Now fans around the world are waiting to see if it lives up to the cult 1981 original.
“When I watched it I didn’t think it was really relevant for my nine-year-old nephew,” said star Sam Worthington.
“I thought we could ramp it up a bit, we could improve the special effects and ramp it up to 11.”
Gemma Arterton, who plays a mysterious spirit guide called IO, said: “This film really lends itself well to 3D because it’s so visual.
“I wouldn’t necessary say do a Ken Loach film in 3D but it works really well with this.”
